Hi,

I need to move kontact/kmail with about 50000 emails and few hundreds folders inside from one computer [Plasma 5.6.4] to another [Plasma 5.5.5].
It will be the same username.

How to do this?

Are you going to do a version downgrade?

!UPDATE - I have 2 identical version of kmail, kontact and PIM related libraries on boths disks

1) Here is thie article:
https://userbase.kde.org/KMail/FAQs_Hin ... machine.29
but is from 2013, so I am not sure is it right, as it says:
Solution: The messages are typically in ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/.

I have only empty ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail2/, so where are all emails?

2) There is a function, Archive Folder, but as I have errors (corrupted data base?), so I have a message {Archiving Failed}. 2 years ago you and I could not solve this problem, so I was asking for help on KDE PIM group (in January 2015):
http://marc.info/?l=kde-pim&m=142124285617805&w=2
but after long discussion nobody could help me, maybe there is a paid solution somewhere, as kmail developers are so busy?

So what I need (minimum version):
copy messages & folders to a new machine
that's it

3) I did manage from [Tools] >> [Export Kmail Data...] to {Back Up Data...} from old kmail into BIG.zip file, but then when I want to do {Restore Data...} it is asking me for a file, what I want to Restore and... nothings happend...
:(

The export function at least on the latest versions of PIM (16.04) should be far more robust than in the past. I would suggest you test this with another user account (export data, use the new user account to test import).

I did manage with 75% of the old emails (through export-import), settings manually. :)
Did not want to use any of old settings, to be 100% sure something from the past affecting my future :)

I need to try automatic backup.

Can you provide the crash information from the crash report assistant?

A window, or a notification depending on your workspace version, will pop up telling you that something has crashed. The "crash information" tab has the details needed to understand what happened.
