Hello!
I was wondering if there is a way to completely uninstall KDE PIM suite, including akonadi and nepomuk, without ruining Plasma. I have been looking around, reading the forums and official documentation but I found nothing related to a clean uninstall. Is there a way to achieve this? Thanks! |

It is possible in KDE-5 and not possible on KDE-4. Also, in some cases, it may depend on your distribution as well.
I am on Fedora-24 KDE spin. I've completely removed KDE-PIM and Akonadi. Subsequently, my average RAM usage at idle has come down to around 400 MB. On Fedora, the following will work out ...
I've not tried to remove 'baloo' ('nepomuk' is no longer available in KDE-5 I guess) because I use it some times. But to answer this post, I've just checked. You can't remove 'baloo' completely as it also tries to remove dolphin file manager. |

I'm on Debian 8.5:
Linux XXX 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt25-2+deb8u3 (2016-07-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux Running KDE Plasma 5.84 |

Then I am almost sure that what you want is not possible, at least there is no straight way. I've tried it many times under KDE-4 (under Arch Linux) and failed miserably. You need KDE Frameworks-5, not just Plasma. |

Ok, so if there is no way to achieve this, how can I disable every related service?
