Hi,
I wish to copy my Emails using Dolphin ( drag & drop ) but cannot find where the file/s are located. I have an automatic back-up, but it only copies empty folders ( so no use ). Could someone please tell me which folder they are stored in. Dave P.. |

Which type of account are you using? Local mail (POP etc) or IMAP (with "download all messages for offline used" enabled)?

Thanks for the reply einar
Using Kmail, POP account, Received Emails that are required to keep are moved to various folders, folders are deleted when no longer required. The folders are sub folders off Local Folders, I have re-created the folder structure on the new system, but cannot find the actual Emails Not sure what this bit is about "download all messages for offline used" enabled Dave P.. |

The option only matters for iMAP accounts. In case of POP, the default configuration should put messages in ~/.local/share/local-mail or ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory (the inconsistency is, as far as I know, a quirk of the Maildir format KMail uses for local mail storage).
