Hi,
I am new to Linux and KDE. As I have my old email memory on Outlook 2010 *.PST with email, contacts, notes, calendar and tasks and there I am able t o sync easily to my smartphone (Nokia) by avtivesync/SyncML (Nokia Suite) in Windows, I am keen to find a maybe better solution in Linux world with Kubuntu 16.04 LTS. searching for a possible freeware I read a lot about KOLAB ( Mailserver, Contacts, tasks, Calendar, notes and activesync to sync to smartphones ( now Nokia but also iOS and Android in future) I thought setting up kolab and within an imap-server, I could connect from windows to this Imap-server and copy all mails and events and contacts to the kolab-imap-server and then have access to it by thunderbird, smartphone etc. Unfortunately, all installation manuals I found lead to kontact but not a working setup-kolab. So I am looking for any hint how to install kolab on linux for a newcomer. As well as other tips are welcome to get a solution to transfer old mail ... to new OS, are welcome. by wuerfel |

Kolab is not a project from KDE. You will likely find better answers on their hub: https://kolab.org/hub
