Hi,

I'm using Kontact 4.14.10 and I have a question about the the message list appearance in inbox folder.
I set this configuring Theme as shown in the left picture hier http://ge.tt/6VjIDoh2.
But the message list does not everytime show the sender mail address, but its "identity": see the first mail on the right picture http://ge.tt/6VjIDoh2.
This identity is sometimes false (spam), intending to cover the real sender mail.
How can I get the sender mail address in sender field?

I can't view the images (they're flagged as a malware domain). With regards to showing the sender, recent KMail versions (after 4.14, so more recent than the one you are using) show the sender if a Sender: field is present in the header along with the From:. Is that what you wanted do see?

If not, please use another image host (like imgur) to upload the images.

I've now uploaded the images on imgur (http://imgur.com/a/cRCDK).
There you can see, how I set the message header and what I get.
Actually, I see the sender "identity" (or alias) but not the sender mail address.
I.e, the sender of first message in the list should be "Real Markt", if you open the mail you realize, the sender mail address is not from the company Real Markt.

I'd like to get the sender mail address into the message header in the inbox list, but I don't know how.
Does every version after 14.10 make it possible?

Oh, I misunderstood your question. What happens if you right click on the headers? At least in very recent versions of KMail you can tick which one to show. I have a localized text so I'm not sure if "Sender" appears.

Hi einer!,
The context menu pops up, but not the sender mail address.
Which version do you have installed?

Do you mean, you cannot see the sender at all?

I mean, I see it in my recent (16.12) version of KMail, but I don't have mails spoofing From and having a correct Sender, so I don't know if it works. I know it's shown in the message pane when displayed (there's an additional field called Sender: in the headers).

After yesterday, 2016-12-16 update from Mint 18 KDE, KMail no longer shows any message header to me either. Also, I cannot find a setting to change. It appears the menu option to enable fancy headers or any other type of header is gone and the code to support fancy headers is broken/missing. That is why you cannot see sender/subject or anything else when viewing a message I suspect.

When I have an incoming message open and click on View then go to Headers no submenu pops up.

Please ensure your "kdepim-addons", "pimcommon" and "mailcommon" packages are up-to-date (the names may change in Mint, these are the names used by the KDE repositories).

I am completely up to date with everything in the Mint repos per the software update utility. If the Mint repos have a sync problem with KDE I would not know.
