Hello,

yesterday I updated my Plasma environment from 5.8.3 to 5.8.5 and Frameworks from 5.26.0 to 5.29.0. The system is an OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 distribution.
Now I have some problems with the message display: I can see the headers of the mails (sender, topic, ...) but I cannot see the content of the message - the lower right part of the KMail window remains blank. The same with a double-click on the message, but if I reopen a message to edit it I can see the content.
Did I miss some packages during the update process?

Are you using third-party repositories?

I included some repositories declared as "semi-official" on the OpenSUSE website into my distribution - so they are linked on the OpenSUSE website, but are more than the usual update repos. I updated all the packages to the new version number / new repository with yast.

You may want to add KDE:Applications and update all packages from there to see if it fixes your issue - bear in mind: currently it's being updated to the latest Applications stable release so things will be broken for a couple of days. I'd suggest you to wait until Monday then try to update.

Okay, I updated all the packages from the "Applications" repository which were installed previously (but no new ones). I also updated the packages of the "Frameworks 5" repo. Nothing changes - the mail content still is not shown.
Is there some additional application / library responsible for displaying mails or perhaps web content I have to install?

What makes me wonder: In the Applications repo there is a mixture of 16.12.1 and 16.08.3 package versions?

Do you also have KDE:Qt5 enabled?

Oh yes, that's the solution - thank you!
I had KDE:Qt57 enabled. When I changed this to Qt5 my mail content came back Woohoo
