Hello there,
I recently switched back from xfce to using KDE after KDE5 has matured for a bit. ![]() I really like it so far, but I cannot figure out for the life of me how I can change my own avatar in KDE-Telepathy using KDE5 on Arch/Manjaro via the telepathy-gabble plugin? ![]() Any help is appreciated. Best regard... |

You need to set it via the user details control panel module, available from System Settings.

Thank you.
I just switched my KDE to EN locale just to be sure I'm using the correct menu. If I understand correctly this should be under: (Application Launcher -> Computer ->) System Settings -> [Personalization] Account Details -> User Manager Example: http://imgur.com/5K6HNfl So Telepathy uses the avatar set as my linux user account icon via this menu. This would correspond to the info I gathered that this features was moved into the "user-manager (plasma)" package going from KDE4 to KDE5 and would make sense since my SDDM icon for example is also managed/updated by this menu. This leaves me with a problem however: Despite having changed this icon a few times just to make sure it actually changed I still see my old (pre switch to KDE) avatar in Telepathy XMPP conversations. ![]() EDIT: Just to make sure I went offline, removed my avatar icon from ~/.local/share/telepathy/mission-control/ and ~/.cache/telepathy/avatars/gabble/jabber/, changed my icon via User-Manager and went back online. Still getting the wrong icon. I'll probably have to open a bug report for this. ![]() |
