Hello,
when recieving emails with a pdf file attached, kmail things it is a "x-flv" file and tries to open it with the corresponding video player. After saving the pdf to my home directory it is correctly recognized as pdf
The pdf files are valid, okular displays them without any problem. And this affects all pdf attachments. Does anyone else have this problem? How to fix? Thanks in advance |

Is this the latest Fedora KDE? It looks like a bug with something, either KMail, Plasma, X or some core component.
Hi, I'm Ivan, a competent computer user (which means geek to most). I run KDE neon Developer when it works and KDE neon User when Developer doesn't work.
Hope I helped you with any problems you may have had ![]() |

Sorry, profile information was out of date. I'm using arch linux now. With latest packages, of course.
Well ... these are many possible components. ![]() |

Does the mail contain sensitive information, or can you make a "dummy" mail that exhibits the problem? If the latter, can you post here the raw view of the dummy mail? (show it in Kontact, then press "V" to display the raw view, copy and paste to a pastebin service)
