Hello,
I was trying to assist a friend of mine in migrating contacts and calendar data from Kontact into NextCloud but ran into a snafu with the import not bringing in every contact saved in Kontact. I've had a lot of trouble finding information and manuals for Kontact for some reason. Anyway... Whenever I open Kontact, I get an error about Akonadi personal information management service not being operational and can not use the software in order to export data from it. I installed MariaDB and had to change the root password for MySQL/MariaDB (Which I'm assuming Kontact uses) in order to get NextCloud operational. I'm would like to know where the main configuration file for Kontact is located so that i may update it post-NextCloud install or even where Kontact stores the saved contacts, calendar entries, etc at so that I may finish my work with filling in the gaps in NextCloud's import ![]() Thank you for your time. |

Usually the MySQL instance used by Akonadi runs as your own user. Did you change it to use system-wide?
The database doesn't store anything (unless < 4K). The data should be in ~/.local/share or ~/.local/share/akonadi. I don't use local contacts, so I'm not sure on the exact name of the file.
