Hi, Running PC-Linux-OS System fully updated.
I have 2 Email accounts, if mail arrives before Kmail is opened, then the window to enter the password appears, password entered and Kmail will now open without a problem. However if I just open Kmail without any Emails waiting, then it opens with the entire window in grey, and the following error :-
[ Error ]
The Akonadi personal information management service is not working.

Details =
Akonadi control process not registered at D-Bus.
No resource agents found.
[ End ]

Also whenever I send an Email the password is requested every time, although not effecting Kmail working its a "pita", this seems to have occurred following an update, as it was not required previously.
NOTE Kwallet is not in use.

Any help most welcome, Dave P..

Have you tried activating Kwallet? As far as I gathered Kwallet has to be active to store the pwd, if not activated one must reenter the pwd for each mail interaction. For testing purposes you could leave the pwd entry blank.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I tried creating a KWallet, a name for the wallet was requested and entered, however it did not appear to create a wallet, ( no password was requested ).
Now the KWalletManager does not even open ( click and nothing ). strangely this morning a window appeared after booting requesting a wallet be selected to 2 applications, as neither are use it was cancelled.

So Kwallet is broken now too, as you describe. As to resetting it I followed the following steps. Be warned if passwords were saved you will lose them all by resetting Kwallet.
