Problem with Kleopatra

Sat Jul 29, 2017 6:46 pm
Hello,

Recently I've been having some issues with kleopatra, and I can't figure out how to fix it. I'm running Plasma 5.10.4, Frameworks 5.36.0, Qt 5.9.1, Kernel 4.12.3 on Arch Linux.

Whenever I start Kleopatra, it just hangs on the screen saying "Loading certificate cache...". I've left it running for an hour or two, but it never finishes. Starting kleopatra from the command line does not reveal any useful debugging information.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Most likely there is another application, which Kleopatra integrates into, that is still open. For example...on the Windows version, Kleopatra will seemingly hang on "loading certificate cache" if Outlook is still open. To resolve the issue I did the following:

1. Quit Kleopatra
2. Close Outlook
3. Reopen Kleopatra then reopen Outlook.

I suspect this is probably the issue you encountered on Linux. I realize there is a difference between the two OS's, but the application is built on the same framework.
