First of all, thanks to the KDE community for providing a brilliant desktop environment. My question is is it possible to configure KMail to get only new emails from Gmail. I've set up Kmail on my laptop. It downloads 10000+ emails from my Gmail account each time I reboot the OS.

Bizarre. Big question: how did you set it up that it collects all mails anew? I take it you've got imap, not pop.

I can only imagine that wherever you store your mails is not persistent storage and contents get lost between reboots.
