Kolab Integration dropped?

Wed Dec 27, 2017 4:29 pm
Hello Community

after my upgrade KDE NEON LTS 5.8 i received the new versions of Kontact (5.6.3) and KMail. After this upgrade all of my Kolab-Accounts was visualised as offline. I delete them and try to "recreate" them but i recognize that there is no Kolab-Groupware connector anymore. Neither the Account-Assistant/Wizard nor the "Add EMail Account Wizard" offers a special Kolab option.

I'am able to add my Kolab-Accounts as IMAP folders but then no Contacts or Events are recognized. So i have to connect them via WebDav.

Is the Kolab-Integration dropped intentionally or did i miss something?

Additional info:

i've currently missing the "Kolab Groupware Resource" (/usr/bin/akonadi_kolab_resource)
akonadictl status don't list akonadi_kolab_resource

libkolab1 is installed (manually)

Ok i solved the problem.

my neon was on user/lts branch witch seems to supply a kdepim-runtime version without akonadi_kolab_resource

after switching to dev/stable is received kdepim-runtime 4:17.12.0, wich provides akonadi_kolab_resource and all works fine again :)
