Unable to send mail via office365

Sat Jun 02, 2018 3:49 am
Can't seem to figure this one out. I cannot send emails via smtp as I can with Evolution, nor can I set up the account via EWS.

Not really any more info I can offer, it just doesn't appear to be something that's possible. All I've really found searching the internet is another user's rude forum post.

Is this something that's going to be fixed with the 5.13 release? Is this something wrong with the distro packaging (running Solus)? How can we make this work?

Thanks.

Office 365? Curious! What could that possibly have to do with KDE/plasma? Not trying to dis you, just don't understand what it is you want/need, what your setup is and why one would want to send mails via a Microsoft application on a Linux box.

As for EWS on Linux check http://blog.ianty.com/ubuntu/exchange-w ... and-linux/

Whatever it is, it is not trivial ;)

It definitely seems like something is broken with the EWS plugin. As i said, it works fine with Evolution, even SMTP works (which also doesnt work in kmail).

I am not using any office applications, but outlook, and thus office 365, is the backend for the email account.

Thanks for the reply.
