After plasma 5.13 it appears to be impossible to start up kmail.
- akonadi doesn't run
- akonadi isn't registered at dbus etc.

I tried to set up accounts on two computers and on both machines I had the same experience.
Does somebody have the same issue?

I found out that I had to:

sudo apt-get install mariadb-common mariadb-server akonadi-server akonadi-backend-mysql kdepim-runtime kontact kmail


I don't have the slightest idea why this would suddenly be necessary. But it works.

Today, one day later, Kmail/akonadi stop working again. (akonadi not registered at dbus etc)

There is a possibility that I found a way to solve the problem:
I closed kmail and deleted ALL files and folders in ~/.config and ~/.local/share that had something in their name with "akonadi". It are quite a few. After I did that I could immediately startup kmail and let it rebuild my imap-account.
Now it works.
