I've started using KDE and KMail recently. I love the look and feel and how nicely KMail integrates into KDE. I initially struggled to get things working with multiple Gmail IMAP folders but that seems to be resolved now. The final issue that is preventing me from completely relying on KMail is that it appears as though it loses it's connection to Akonadi frequently (multiple times a day). This happens all the time but particularly after periods of inactivity, or when I suspend my computer. I see lots of posts about this issue but no satisfactory answers or at least nothing that has helped my situation.
I am running: - kmail2: 5.7.3 - akonadictl: 5.7.3 - KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.6 - KDE Frameworks Version: 5.44.0 - Qt Version: 5.9.5 - Kernel Version: 4.15.0-30-generic - OS Type: 64-bit I have tried : - removing and re-adding the IMAP accounts (several times), - running akonadictl restart (which brings things back for a while), - removing and recreating the database (./local/share/akonadi) I noticed lots of these errors in the mysql.err: 2018-08-15T16:51:37.232695Z 3 [ERROR] InnoDB: Table `mysql`.`innodb_table_stats` not found. 2018-08-15T16:51:37.232744Z 3 [ERROR] InnoDB: Fetch of persistent statistics requested for table `akonadi`.`collectionattributetable` but the required system tables mysql.innodb_table_stats and mysql.innodb_index_stats are not present or have unexpected structure. Using transient stats instead. Thanks for any help. |
