Opens, I see a glimpse of my accounts and immediately closes. The icon changes to one that shows I have messages but opening again doesn't have any different effect. Ksyslog doesn't have show anything I can understand that may shine light on the issue. Start kontact from terminal and see what the it said and got this:

kontact: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/messageviewer/bodypartformatter/messageviewer_bodypartformatter_semantic.so: undefined symbol: _ZN10KItinerary19ExtractorRepositoryC1

Edit: Update was released and fixed the issue.
