I'm trying to set an HTML signature for one of my email accounts, but I can't get it to work properly.

This is what I'm trying to achieve:

Something very simple, just some text with a picture on the left, and above all three styled hr's.

This is however what I get:

As you can see in the second picture, for some reason the styling is not applied correctly and the whole layout is pretty messy and far from what I'd like to achieve.

I'm using Kmail 18.08.3 on openSUSE Tumbleweed, if it matters; I already posted this issue on openSUSE forums, where another user seem to be able to achieve this: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread. ... e-in-Kmail , so I think that probably the problem is on my part, wrong configuration or something.

Is someone able to help me figure this out? How can I correctly style an HTML signature?

I've recently updated to Applications 18.12 and the problem persists.

Anybody can help me with this?

i've tried this in multiple distros: openSUSE, Manjaro, Kubuntu, and this problem happens everytime. I think that I can rule out something distro-related.

I don't know if there is something broken, or if I just have something set wrong, but I still can't figure out how to solve this.

I'd really like to have some kind of insight, if someone could help.
