Import mbox from Gmail fails

Thu Jan 31, 2019 8:38 am
I cannot successfully import a Gmail mail archive in mbox format. The destination is a local folder. After import, the message list is visible in Kmail but the message body (for any message) is not. I get this error every time:

Unable to fetch item from backend (collection -1) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: [LRCONFLICT] Resource akonadi_maildir_resource_0 tries to modify ...

The error message is truncated so that's all I can read.

Akonadiconsole indicates that the local folder is here: /home/username/.local/share/local-mail. That folder exists and there are subfolders within it. I can read/write to it without trouble.

KDE Kmail 5.10.1
openSUSE Tumbleweed

I'm stuck. How can I troubleshoot this?

Thanks.

I found the full error message. "Dirty Payload" does not sound good :o

org.kde.pim.akonadiconsole: Item fetch failed: "Unable to fetch item from backend (collection -1) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: [LRCONFLICT] Resource akonadi_maildir_resource_0 tries to modify item 12248 () (in collection 234) with dirty payload, aborting STORE."
