Kmail fails to read messages on the IMAP server but a Webmail client works fine. Kmail indicates "Loading folder contents" in the right hand preview pane but nothing is ever loaded. Webmail has no trouble reading all messages.

I posted a related problem here (https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=215&t=156927) but to date have had no reply. The messages have been imported from a Gmail mbox but Kmail fails repeatedly to read them, either from a local folder or from the IMAP server.

Any suggestions on how to solve this? Please?
