Hi!
I am working with the Exchange server through davmail that sits on a separate server connecting to davmail through IMAP. Very often I see akonadi_imap_resourse timing out for some reason without getting messages from my mailbox. I started running wireshark and saw that after a series of successful frames between machines my desktop sends RST frame and everything starts all over again. This manifests itself sometimes in such a way that large messages do not get through. Killing akonadi_imap_resourse through akonadi console and restarting it again cures a the problem. But not always. This strange behaviour does not happen to my collegues who do not use KDE but other Linux mail agents (thunderbird, etc...). Can anyone explain what might be happening? Is there any way one can control akonadi_imap_resource? Thanks...

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with the IMAP resource either. Our company recently moved from hosted Exchange where imap-over-davmail seemed to work just fine for the most part, to office365 where direct imap works but feels worse/slower than imap-over-davmail.
I've never pulled up wireshark or anything to see what was going on, so it may well be that I've been running into this problem as well In KDE Applications 18.04 they added an Exchange resource for akonadi (and later versions had additional updates as well) so if you have that or later version of KDE apps you can try just using that to skip davmail.

Actually I meant 17.12 and it has had a number of improvements with each release since.
