I have used kmail (pop3) for years and love it. Recently I updated from Debian stretch to Debian Buster. This apparently also updated kmail to version to 4.18.08.3-1.
I have two new problems, both quite serious: First, kmail just won't allow me to open certain emails. It shows them as received new mail, but I have to end the process in order to see them and some I still can't see. When I try to open those "some", my machine freezes, requiring reboot. Second, I can no longer highlight a lot of emails at once. I want to do this as I have about 10,000 emails in my inbox and I want to move all of the 2018 emails to an archive folder. I didn't notice these problems until I updated to Buster. Any suggestions are appreciated. John |

Discovered additional problem, related to version of webkit, being that kmail will not print. Perhaps when that is fixed the other problems will go away, but I doubt it.

I now have eleven (11) messages in my spam (probable) folder, which I can neither read, delete or move. Also, the top right scroll bar is missing the gadget at top and bottom which allows one to slowly scroll messages.
