Hi
I am running Kubuntu 19.04. Love it. Recently however I have run into an issue. When I login Kontact starts (so the Kontact window shows). I don't use Kontact, or Kmail or anything like that, and Akonadi is not running. How do I stop Kontact from starting at login? Note that Kontact is not listed in my AutoStart in settings, so I have no idea why it is starting at login. thanks graham |

Plasma by default opens applications that were running when you log off, reboot.
System Settings >> Startup and Shutdown >> Desktop Session You can switch this off permanently. If you like the feature, turn it off temporarily, and after your next reboot turn it back on. That should clear out the rogue Kontact that somehow got 'stuck' in the session.
