Kubuntu 18.04 / KMail 5.7.3
In accounts when I attempt to add a imap email account I fill out the first page with Acct Name, imap address, user name. I attempt to type a password in but I'm unable to select the box. When I click next it starts a browser that takes me to a Google log in page. I put in my user name press next then my password and click next. At this point I get a page that says "Sign with Google has been temporally disabled for this app" (see pic below). Does anyone know how to fix it. GSuite tech support tried to help but had now idea what was going on.

We cannot open your image...

But you can try this:
Login to Google in a Browser.
Open you Google Account Page.
Select Security.
Click "Mange Access" at "Google apps with account access".
Change the settigs and allow your app.

EDIT: I just tried it by myself. It doesn't work. :(

EDIT2:
Same problem here, kmail on debian buster. I believe it's something to do with Google's implementation of OAuth. Workaround is to go to kmail settings and modify your login method from "Gmail" to "Plain". You would also need to set "Allow less secure apps" on in your google account. Worked for me.

The Kmail developers need to get their app verified. Google have been cracking down, requiring users of "sensitive and restricted scopes" to verify that they are protecting user privacy.
