I'm in the final stretch of completing a migration from lubuntu to ElementaryOS. One of my stumbling blocks was the transfer of Kontact. When I start Kontact, it takes 50 seconds before anything shows up on the screen. It's like it's waiting for something else to start or time-out, but I don't know what.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm posting this both here and on the kde forum because I can't really tell if this is an issue with Kontact or ElementaryOS |

Hi legomaniac,
do you have the following packages also installed?:
Install them with the above terminal command if not!. I am using Kubuntu 19.10 and the files may have a different name depending on your installed Elementary OS version!.
Running Kubuntu on two computers (one dual boot and one as single OS), were it not for gaming; I would ditch Winblows completely!.

I did, indeed, have libkf5kontactinterface5 and libkf5kontactinterface-data installed, but thank you for your suggestion.
I stumbled across the solution while researching another Kontact related problem. The solution that worked was: akonadictl fsck |
