Hello all,
Please excuse if this is a stupid question, but when I reply to an email in Kmail, the email doesn't show in the conversation tree (only the ones sent to me) and it doesn't appear in the sent folder. Where is it, and how do I know if it has been sent?

Hi Toby,

You can specify a sent folder for each email identity separately (Menu -> Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Identities -> tab "Advanced"). Default is "Local Folder -> sent-mail". Furthermore, you can specify for each mail folder, to keep replies in the same folder. Display context menu for a selected mail folder, go to "Folder properties" and check "Keep replies in this folder".
