Hi,

I have a strange issue that started recently where KMail complains that the DCOP server is not available when opening any attachment.
Clicking the error away works and the attachment opens fine.

The error dialog mentions :

Code: Select all
"could not read network connection list.
/home/user/.DCOPServer_hostname_0

Please make sure dcopserver is running !"

I thought DCOP was removed years ago so not sure why KMail still tries to use it ?

Version info :
Code: Select all
Currently using fully up to date Fedora 31. kmail-19.04.3-2.fc31.x86_64
From KMail dialog : KDE Frameworks 5.64.0. Qt 5.13.2 (built on 5.13.2)

Is there a config somewhere to make it use qdbus or something else ?
The laptop is a fresh install from september so there should not be a lot of leftover config from years past.

I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks !
