I'm on a new KUbuntu 19.10 and I can't get Akonadi to work.
This bug is related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/akonadi/+bug/1850162 If using MySQL 8 isn't/can't be fixed I'm open to using PostgreSQL. I've followed this tutorial: https://vinzv.de/en/bringing-kmail-and-postgresql-together/ and my database seems to be configured correctly (I can login with postgres user and my custom user, the service is up and running). I edit the
but when I start Akonadi I'm still getting the same output in terminal mentioning MySQL and not Postgre and the above config file gets overriden, specifically the Options line:
which was the default value for MySQL. What can I put there to make it work with Postgre?

In case anyone else is facing the same problem I was able to get Akonadi working with Postgres.
I noted it on my blog: https://prkos.hr/KOrganizer-and-Akonadi ... h-Postgres In short I was missing the package
I had the wrong database name typed in the Akonadi config, and after leaving all the other options empty the correct ones were automatically created on Akonadi start.
