Move EMail into IMAP-folder

Fri May 22, 2020 12:23 pm
Hello,

I'd like to know if there is a shortcut to move an EMail directly into the IMAP-Archive Folder? In thunderbird this would be the shortcut (a).
I found the shortcut to move an Email in general, but this is done with a popup that opens to select a folder.

Thank you for your help

I have been wondering the same thing. One solution I found so far is to create a message filter, which can have a shortcut assigned. It's in Settings > Configure Filters... but be careful not to apply it on incoming messages in the configuration. Still, the problem is that I can only specify one folder, and I'm working with multiple accounts, and would like to have each archive its own emails. So far, I'm working around this with setting up multiple filters and each works only on one account, then apply all filters when I want to archive. But that only works because I don't have any other filters defined right now.

It would be nice to have an option to select an archive folder per account (a similar option is available in Evolution), but I don't see anything like that available in Kmail.
