kmail, subject thread matching

Thu Jul 16, 2020 2:10 pm
Hi,

Using kmail in conjunction with davmail (but i don't think it change anything for this issue), our mail server tend to add a "[EXTERNAL]" tag on each mail we receive out of our domain:

If i receive a mail from someone@notfrommydomain.com the subject will be: "[EXTERNAL] subject", while if i receive from "someone@mydomain.com" the subject will not be modified.

My problem is that kmail does not understand this token and i have now this in my mailbox:
If i send a mail "Example", the remote user will then answer it, but the title "Re: Example" will be transformed to : "[EXTERNAL] Re: Example"
So if i reply, the message will have this subject: "Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: Example"

From this moment, Kmail cannot find that these mails are from the same thread. Is there any way to correct this behavior?

Thanks!
