Hello,

Two of my IMAP accounts won't update anymore since I upgraded KDE Neon to 20.04 two days ago. The settings are correct and the IMAP servers functional, as checked using K9-Mail on Android. The system log is flooded with the following message:
Code: Select all
akonadi_imap_resource[7355]: org.kde.pim.kimap: Connection to server lost  QAbstractSocket::SocketError(13)
akonadi_imap_resource[7360]: org.kde.pim.kimap: Connection to server lost  QAbstractSocket::SocketError(13)

Error code 13 seems to correspond to EACCES (permission denied). I find it weird because I could connect to the same server and port with netcat, from the same machine. Also, another email account works (Yahoo).

Restarting akonadi or rebooting don't help.

Any idea how to debug further? Are there config files that I can try to move?

[edit]

Configuration files .config/akonadi_imap_resource_Nrc and .config/akonadi/agent_config_akonadi_imap_resource_N don't appear to affect the problem. Creating the account from scratch doesn't work either.

[edit 2]

I created a test user on my computer and it also fails there. I can't even add the IMAP account.

Thanks,
Louis.
