Hi all. I can't see detailed information on this on the project site. I read you can configure office365 as account, but to what level does it actually synchronize? I want to use it with my business mailbox, so would prefer sync over imap, and also if it will sync the calendar. It would be nice if you see shared calendars too, but first things first.
Does someone use it like this and/or can someone explain what is or isn't possible? |

Hello, yes I do use it and for e-mail it works okay, no problems whatsoever. As with all e-mail accounts find the right servername, port and authentication method. Add all this into your account in Kmail and it works.
Regarding calendar and contacts: this is different. This I could not get working at all. No idea which type of calendar I need to use and what to type in to the settings for this new calendar, nor the contacts. So it's half-half. But maybe I am doing something wrong in setting up the calendar and the contact list, so if somebody here knows how to do that then please tell us. |

I have the same issue. I really like Kontact, but I cannot get it to synchronize with my Office365 Calendar or Contacts. I have tried using DavMail and it did not work.

I am trying to follow the instruction in the "Exchange" section on the https://userbase.kde.org/Kmail/Configuring_Kmail/Accounts/Office_365 UserBase Wiki space. While the first steps work fine, and I am prompted with the log-in dialog, the "OK" action of this dialog stays disabled. The app is registered successfully under "My Account" in Office365. What am I doing wrong?
Here is an excerpt from the log file that might be helpful:

A bit late, but did you follow the manual? Especially the part about specifying a (random) username/password before switching over to O365 (Step nr.2)?

Hi all,
Hope i'll get some help here, i still cannot get it working, and i cannot use the IMAP system anymore, my company just moved to office365 only login with phone text code to add extra security. i've tried making a fresh start to akonady, removing all the old stuff, and i tried again. i followed the manual linked above, ... and I got the same answer than usual : - my company log page appears - i fill it. - got the text message code - press OK - akonady crashes. - the account folders do appear! but they are empty - the account status says ready - the calendar name is in kalendar, but empty. - i can't modify the account settings - have no access to it - akonady crashes everytime i restart the EWS account and try to update it. -- it might me something on my company side, but MACOS users seems to get it working, so... i am not sure. If one of you guys know, that would be Awesome! Many thanks in advance! |
