Hi all,
I'm still working on my customisation stuff for the desktop although it has taken a back seat for a while as my new drives arrived and I now have my dual boot system working for real now. I suffer with troublesome internet speed frequently. To prevent this in Windows I am using Netlimiter (great app) in combination with networx (free) so I could monitor in and out from the system and cap anything that misbehaved or gobbled the bandwidth. After running up Kmail, it proceeded to download emails etc, and as such sucked up alot of bandwidth, so I put it into offline mode, and still akonadi sucked up the data - to stop it, I used "akonadictl stop". Fair enough, but on reboot, even though Kmail is still in "Offline mode" its still pulling the emails in and I have to stop it again. Is there another setting I'm missing? Its a newbie question, but then I'm still feeling my way around and getting used to how things work in KDE (and linux in general) Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.76.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.9.10-arch1-1 OS Type: 64-bit Thanks, Wodger |

So, I don't know whats really going on, now Akonadi is behaving and not downloading oodles of data anymore - its a weird one, I will monitor and reply again if this strange behavior returns
