kmail not showing mail content

Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:05 pm
Hi,

since an update (Debian Testing) around three weeks ago i have a problem with kmail and got stuck with finding the problem. Slowly it get's annoying, because i can not read my mails.
Google and search function showed no usable hints :(

When i open a mail (same happens also in the mail preview area) then a new window opens, the window title shows the mail subject, i have the buttons for print, reply and so on but the mail content is not shown. It's just a white, empty space. But i can have a look at the mail code and the content is there. So i guess it is not an Akonadi problem. Also Receiving, Sending, Deleting of mails works without any problems.
If i click on the reply button, then again a new window for replying opens, and then i can see the mail content as quote. But of course i don't see attachements and other stuff.

When i start kmail from konsole i see the following messages when i try to open a mail. Especially the first line looks suspicious to me, but i don't know what to do with it.

Code: Select all
Cannot initialize model with data QJsonObject() . missing: QJsonValue(string, "urls")
org.kde.kitinerary: Cannot find external extractor: "kitinerary-extractor"
org.kde.kitinerary: Cannot find external extractor: "kitinerary-extractor"

A look into xsession-errors showed nothing strange, but maybe i overlooked it. In generall this file is realy big (around 40MB for the last two days). So something strange is going on, but i think not related to the kmail problem. A lot of messages contain „Sandbox”.

Version info:
• KMail: 5.15.2 (20.08.2)
• KDE Frameworks 5.74.0
• QT 5.15.1 (kompiliert gegen 5.15.1)
• xcb Fenstersystem

Maybe someone has an idea and can help me. Thanks anyway,
Vincent
