Per the title - is this possible? it seems like this is a limitation of the program (a frustrating one.)

Is ther a way to remove the "people icon" in front of each contact entry on the left side / contact list? There is a icon showing head / shoulders in front of each contact in the list someone said this was theme dependent though I have not been able to mak it go away. Running Xfce btw.
