and a good New Year for us all.

I am moving my friends emails from MAC to Linux, trying kmail.
Its about 70.000 mails and > 20 GB.

I want to give akonadi more RAM.
Trying out this and that the last days i have seen this option and there were 128 MB designed for akonadi to use.

As we have 32 GB RAM here it would be easy to spend some of it for akonadi.
And i read this would do good; in the moment there regularily is some seconds of waiting when clicking on an email-folder with e.g. 7.000 mails in.

I just dont´t know where to tell the machine to do it. GUI or terminal, preferably I´d like to know both, if existing.

Can anybody help?
