Fedora 33, KDE Frameworks 5.75, Plasma 5.20.4. The email server is on my own local CentOS7 system, running Postfix and Dovecot through an IMAP connection.
Two things about KMail have begun to annoy me to no end. I hope someone here can help. 1) I have a lot of email list subscriptions. I created a folder at the top level for each one and a filter rule to automatically move incoming messages. There are enough of them that I would like to collect them all in a subfolder. That part is a total fail... I can create the subfolder with no problem. However, when I drag/drop existing folders to it, they stick for only 2 or 3 minutes and then reappear in the top level hierarchy. If I create each subfolder manually (not by drag/drop), then move messages to it, the messages are not moved - they are copied! And if I create a filter that moves incoming messages to the subfolder, it appears to not run. Incoming messages are never moved. They remain in my inbox. Nothing appears in the subfolder. 2) The column widths seem to get adjusted at random and without any input from me. I have my message list set to display subject, sender, date and size. Over time the date column is gradually shrunk. After a week or two, it is down to just a few pixels wide. I resize it again - and in a week or two it has shrunk again. What's going on here? How can I make the column widths stick? Thanks - Bill Gee |

Anyone??? Are there any KMail experts here? Do I need to look elsewhere?
Another annoyance ... Sometimes (not always), when I send an email, KMail will mark a message in the Sent Mail folder as "unread". It is never the same message and it is never the message I just sent. It appears to be a random choice. Bill Gee |

Reporting bugs in a forum is usually not very helpful. I can confirm 2.)
There is a bug tracker for kontact and your bug has already been reported: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394403 |
