I'm using openSUSE Tumbleweed the latest version with KDE desktop. I'm using Kmail with an Imap server configuration. I have two kmail clients with the same account.

I have disabled the following setting from the Kmail settings menue and have choosen to move the deleted emails to the paste bin on the server.

If you check Automatically compact folders KMail removes the messages you deleted from the server as soon as you leave a folder. Otherwise the messages are only marked as deleted and it is up to you to compact the folders manually by using the menu item File → Compact All Folders.

However when I delete an email on client 1, it's moved to trash. But when I go to the client 2 my email is still there in the inbox. When I use my phones email-client and delete the email, back in kmail the email is greyed out.

When I go to the web interface from my imap account the email is also shown there.

The deleting of messages seems not to work correctly or the syncing between client.

Does somebody experience the same problems? Is this a bug or are my settings wrong configuered?
