I am having trouble importing Gmail mbox archive. I used the Kontact import wizard, it works, I can see all the emails including the the metadata (email, subject etc) but when I try to access an email contents, I get a message:

Retrieving Folder Contents, please wait

after waiting a long time (10 minutes) I get an error message:

Code: Select all

Unable to fetch item from backend (collection -1) : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I know the archive is valid, I can access it instantly using mutt. I was also about to import it into Evolution and access the email contents right away but I can't access any of the mails from Kontact. I am trying to migrate over to the KDE ecosystem.

Any ideas on what the problem is there or what I can do to troubleshoot?
