Hello,
I have Kmail installed on a Debian Linux 11 (4:20.08.3-1). For some time now, my new mail accesses have not been displayed in the folder list. Previously, the folder with new mails was shown in bold and the number of new mails in brackets. E.g. inbox(2) or forums(10) That's gone now. In the message list, the new mails are highlighted as usual. This is very unwieldy because I can't immediately see the new incoming mail in many folders. I can't find any setting to change it now. Perhaps there is someone here who knows more about Kmail and knows about this setting. Many thanks BrotherJay

If you right-click on the header of the folder list, you will see a menu with these contents:
Show Columns x Unread x total _ Size icon size ×16*16 _ 22*22 _ 32*32 Show tooltips x Always _ Never sort entries _ Automatically after the current column x Manually by dragging and dropping "x" are my marks. However, that seems to be the solution, albeit a bit irritating. If I uncheck the "unread" box, it works again. It's irritating because you actually want to display the unread columns with the hack. The opposite is the case. It's a shame that so few here are aware of this. So here is my solution. |
