Desactivate mails scan in Kmail

Hello,

I have uncheck this choice (look to the screencap), and when I close Kmail (or Kontact) or the session, itself check again and I receive mails in Kmail. I prefer use Thunderbird (because the syntax verification). It's a bit of a pain, I don't understand why the choices aren't sustainable.

A developer told me once that some settings require restarting akonadi to be applied (it's a bug that was known and being worked on).

So, if you havent't already, try restarting akonadi and see if it makes a difference, from a konsole prompt:

Code: Select all
akonadictl restart


If you don't feel comfortable with the command line, you can also reboot your machine.

Hi @richarson ;)

I have uncheck the choice, quit Kontact, restart Akonadi, relaunch Kontact, and I’m seeing the checkbox still checked ^^
