White backgrounds hurt my eyes. I set Kontact to use Breeze Dark instead of trying to use my desktop theme, but some HTML emails which specify a background or text color still show up in light mode. Is there a way to make Kontact ignore the color scheme given in HTML emails and use dark mode all the time? I found a previous thread on this subject, but no clear answer, and I can't tell if anything has changed in the last four years.

Evolution has an option to ignore color themes specified by the sender and use the desktop theme instead. Thunderbird can make use of the Dark Reader Firefox extension (which I have to use to navigate websites without dark mode). I like the layout of Kontact more than either Evolution or Thunderbird, but I can't fully switch to Kontact unless I can read emails in dark mode.
