Hi, I'm new to Kmail and just installed it to Mint 21 Vanessa today.
I have imported old email to Kmail (from Clawsmail) and
connected via IMAP to my email server to get more recent email.
It's been months since I updated Clawsmail so there are thousands
of emails to download.
Kmail has recognized the folders on the server and created them.
Kmail has downloaded part of the email to a few folders but
now seems unable to download more. Kmail has not downloaded
any emails from the Inbox at all (but has downloaded a few thousand.

Wait, as I type this, KMail has downloaded 100 emails into the Inbox
and then stopped. (There are about 2500 to be downloaded in the
Inbox at the server.)
My connection to the internet and the email server appears to be working fine.

I apologize if this has an obvious answer, but I'm at a loss on how
to get Kmail to continue downloading emails to completion.

I'd appreciate a link to an explanation of this behavior if one exists,
and how I might speed up the process.
(I have already enlarged the innodb_buffer_pool_size hoping that
might help.)

I left KMail running overnight and it has downloaded
almost all the email.
I'd still like to know if there is something to speed it up though.
