Hi,
I've been experiencing non-stop crashes in kmail using 4.1.81 on opensuse 11.1. It only started yesterday. It happens just 30 seconds after starting the app, making basically unusable. Am I the only one experiencing this problem ?

Well I actually already reported the bug at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176839 with a debugging backtrace there. Unfortunately, I can't make any sense out of it. The weird thing though is that suddenly, without any reason, kmail no longer crashes anymore. I'm hesitating whether I should close this thread and the bug report though. I caught the backtrace, so I guess that might still help resolve whatever issue happened to me. But thanks for your help !
Edit : kmail --version is 1.10.90

Well this is exactly the output I'm getting : Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.81 (KDE 4.1.81 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081128)) "release 1.2" KMail: 1.10.90

I do not use filtering so that could be where KMail is crashing. It looks to me like something is timing out. This would also explain why it started not crashing, because it could now reach your mail server, and get valid mail, and do what it wanted to do ( probably perform the filtering )
However, I am just guessing, I have no idea what is happening there. I would say you bug is valid, however I would recommend updating to trunk if at all possible.

Well my bug has just been closed as a duplicate of another bug which is about crashing after canceling imap download. I'm not too sure it's exactly the same bug. But fixing imap is definitely a priority I believe. I also tend to think that my problem is more related to filtering, but there's not much more I can do now I don't experience crashes anymore.
I have to wait for suse packages to get any update. I do have a kde-devel account with a trunk build, but it's a bit old, and I don't have much time at the moment to start a fresh build (which will be needed).
