Hi,
I migrated from Thunderbird to KMail in KDE4.2, so I'm new to KMail. I saw nice image [1] from aaron's blog [2]. I'm subscribed to various mailing lists and I would like to sort that mails to folders like he did it. Could you please help me with it? I did not find any tutorial on userbase. I do not know exactly what you mean, but here are some features that might help:
Are there further questions or did I miss something? Cheers, m code | cia.vc | donating KDE | wishlist |

If one has already received a mail from a list, one can just right click the entry in the message list and choose "Create Filer -> Filter for mailinglist" This will create a filter which works based on the list id header Cheers, _

Thank you msoekan, that helped too.
But I just wanted to find out the feature anda_skoa is talking. I use online imap account (gmail) for it. Should I create the new folder in which the messages will be saved in Local Folders or in Gmail Account? Because when I'm trying to setup that filter for mailing list to folder in gmail account, I get: At least one filter targets a folder on an online IMAP account. Such filters will only be applied when manually filtering and when filtering incoming online IMAP mail. What does that mean? Manually filtering? When I receive new mail, it will appear in that folder, or I have to do something manually?

You can activate filters manually, for example with CTRL+J
Since it says that incoming mail will still be filter, yoru setup should already work. Not sure if you can filter into an online IMAP folder. If not or if the filter does not work, using offline or disconnected IMAP might work. Cheers, _

It works. In GMail appropriate labels has been created. Thanks, resolved.
