Hi guys,
is there anyone that is using KMail and GPG? when i try to sign / encrypt / decrypt i receive always the same message from Kmail: "Signing failed: Bad passphrase", but the program doesn't ask to me for the password. Everything works fine inside KGpg or via shell... I'm using Kmail 1.11.0, KDE 4.2.0 and slackware 12.2 Thanks, e1f |

Just a thought. Could it be you've got a passphrase saved in Kwallet? It might be that it's supplying it direct to Kmail; if it's wrong in there, that would explain your problem. |

ok guys i fixed;
it looks like it was an old issue, anyway here is the workaround: Append the line "use-agent to" ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf Create the file ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf and add the line "pinentry-program /usr/local/bin/pinentry-gtk-2" to it. (i tried also with pinentry-qt but doen't work on my box) Add the line eval "$(gpg-agent --daemon --sh)" to your ~/.xinitrc or ~/.xsession, before the line containing startkde. cheers |
