So, i am not able to install kdepimlibs ( http://pastebin.com/m7e70e0e2 ) and extragear/multimedia ( http://pastebin.com/m56a56619 ) through kdesvn-build script. Where is the mistake? Thanks!

With kdepimlibs I have the same error, see here

I'm currently running a kdesvn-build extragear/multimedia to see if I can reproduce that error as well.

Do you use the latest kdesvn-build version 1.8?

extragear/multimedia compiled and installed over here just fine right now. So this seems to be different issue. Since the problematic line in kdepimlibs was introduced 9 days ago and I didn't hear of any other having problems apart from us, it's maybe related no to kdepimlibs itself, but to the transition form kdesvn-build form 1.7.1 to 1.8, since we both obviously upgraded that script in the last days.

I'll try a complete rebuild with a clean build directory tonight, and will report back if that solved the issue.

No need to excuse for your English, mine is not better ;)

What kind of error does it fail with? The last 100 lines of /logs/latest/kdepimlibs/error.log will list this

See Gianlucas link to pastebin or the other thread for exact error messages of the error and an ugly workaround.

As Gianluca and I started the thread at almost the same time and Gianluca reported two compilation errors, may I suggest that we split the threads using the other one for discussing the kdepimlibs-akonadi problem and this one for Gianluca extragear/multimedia problem?

Gianluca, could you in case you agree with that splitting, adjust the subject line?

Your extragear/multimedia error seems to be related to mysql. CMake can't find mysql's include directory.
Code: Select all
CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
MYSQL_INCLUDE_DIR (ADVANCED)

I'm sorry, but I'm no expert in CMake, has someone else an idea how to solve that?

I agree with your idea, so let's talk of kdepimlibs in the other thread.

I solved the kdepimlibs issue, but not the extragear/multimedia one. With kdesvn-build's upgrade cmake can't find my mysql installation for amarok. With kdesvn-build 1.7.1 cmake used my installation of mysql 5.1.31 in /opt/mysql/ compiled and it worked fine, butnow cmake doesn't find it anymore. I'm not expert in cmake, how can i solve this issue? Thanks!

Try setting CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH to where your KDE installation is and where MySQL is located, then reconfigure everything built with kdesvn-build ( to ensure that it comes completely into effect )
If you are also building Qt with kdesvn-build then also add on Qt to the CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH.

Example:
Code: Select all
export CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/path/to/compiled/kde/install:/path/to/mysql/install

This is unusual. What is the CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH you exported before reconfiguring kdesvn-build?

Code: Select all
export CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/opt/kde4:/opt/mysql
I tried also with slashes... but it doesn't work...

Are you running CMake 2.6 patch 2?

Yes, i'm using cmake 2.6.2-1ubuntu1 from intrepid-backports. It's the latest version also in jaunty repos. Cmake 2.6.3 is not avaiable yet...

EDIT: I installed cmake 2.6.3 from an external repo, i did the export command and now it's compiling! Thanksfor your help! The issue is solved!
