I use KDE 4.2.1 and its Kontact. I use Akkregator, KMail and KOrganizer from Kontact. My passwords for KMail are stored in KDE wallet.

When I login in my computer, it tries to start two instances of Kontact. It asks me whether I want to start the second instance, because the first instance of Kontact is already started.

If I click "no", no Kontacts start.

If I click "yes" two Kontacts start. When I try to close one of Kontacts, the second crashes too.

So, I am to click "no" and start Kontact manually.

Is there anything relating to Kontact in System Settings > Advanced > Autostart?

No, there is nothing related to Kontact. Only ksshaskpass (ssh-add from KDE Wallet) is.

Is Kontact closed when you log off?

No Kontact is working when I log off. So I do want it to resume on my next session. Kmail and Akkregator has icons in system tray.

I think the problem may be because of trying to start Kontact-Kmail and Kontact-Akkregator on startup.

Sometimes, Kontact starts as it should. I have not just understood some the dependency.

Since Akregator and KMail are included in Kontact, you may wish to disable their Autostart

But I don't want to disable it. I want my Kontact to autostart (resume from previous session) with its subprograms: KMail and Akkregator.

When Kontact starts it will automatically start and embed both KMail and Akregator inside itself, therefore only Kontact itself needs to be Autostarted

I have just stopped my Kontact and started it as Alt+F2 -> Kontact. It have started only KMail. No system tray icon for Akkregator appeared.

After is, if I choose Akkregator from Kontact Window, it started, icont in system tray appeared and Akkregator began fetching feeds. Only AFTER I have clicked on it manually. But I want Akkgerator to be started automatically
