Everytime I edit a contact with more then 1 email address, KAddressbook shows a popup multiple times asking me to select an email address of the contact.

This came with one of the updates and its really annoying. I even don't know why KAddressbook is asking me to select an email address ...

Maybe helping:
kontact --version
Qt: 4.5.0
KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) "release 114"
Kontact: 1.4.2
kaddressbook --version
Qt: 4.5.0
KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) "release 114"
KAddressBook: 4.1

Bug in 4.2.2.
I think someone already fixed it.

Cheers,

Thank you. That clears that annoyance out of my head :-) As long as I know it is a confirmed bug and that someone already fixed it, I relax a bit more.

BUT - is there a way to get hold of that bugfix faster? Or do we have to wait for a long time until there is a new version of KDE and Kubuntu? I am already on 9.04 :-)

You can ask your distributor to include the fix in an out-of-schedule update.
The change is very local, only to four files in KAddressBook's code

I'm running Kontact Version 1.4.2, on KDE Version 4.2.4. I've installed the update, but the problem persists. What else can I try?

My KDE version is 4.2.4 as yours, but my Kontact version is 1.4.4 and the problem is gone. Not sure why you have an older version of Kontact...

Thanks for the reply. I'd better double-check the version. It might be the version from before the update :<

Yup, I've got Kontact 1.4.4. Are there any other versions of any of the support apps that I should be running?

Not that I know of. For me that problem was gone when upgrading to KDE 4.2.4, so I am not sure what else can be done...

I've got this same problem running KAddressBook 4.1, in KDE 4.2.2 pre-installed in a Sharp Netwalker with Ubuntu-9.04. I installed KAddressBook using the standard package manager.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
