I have special folder for spam collecting in KMail (later, I shall learn my spam-filter on it). After I recieve some spam messages, I choose them together and move to the spam folder. After the movement, I have to right-click on spam folder and say KMail to mark all messages in this folder as read.
Is there a way to automatically mark all the messages, moved to special folder, as read?

Hi Pavel,
there is. In the menu go to Tools - Anti Spam Wizard. Now select which spamfilters you want to use (I use bogofilter and spamassassin - they work near 100% for me) and click on next. Now click on "Mark detected spam messages as read" and select which folder you want your spam to be moved to. That is it really, finish the wizard and Bob is your uncle ![]() HTH

I do not want to use some spamfilters. I just want to mark all the messages, I put into the folder named "spam" manually, as read: I want to put messages manually. but the messages should be marked as read automatically.

You could create a special filter that matched everything, and could only be applied manually which would mark the messages as read and move them to the spam folder.
Ensure that you do make the filter be skipped when processing the filter list also.
